Symposium on food safety at EPCCI

DAMMAM, 17 April — Eastern Province Governor Prince Muhammad ibn Fahd inaugurated a symposium and exhibition on food safety at the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry here Sunday evening. He called on people to be vigilant about spurious and hazardous products and said the government was taking measures to prevent such items entering the local market. He added that a campaign would be launched soon to generate public awareness in this regard. Ibrahim Balghanaim, mayor of Dammam, said the Dammam Municipality emphasized the need for people’s cooperation in identifying harmful products. “It has to be a two-pronged attack,” he said.
