RIYADH, 20 April — The efforts to put an end to school children frequently going to coffee shops and smoking shisha have been stepped up by the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Riyadh, according to the commission’s chief, Othman Al-Othman. The commission in conjunction with the police, municipality and Information Ministry has been making several surprise checks in cafes to make sure that children are not smoking or watching movies with obsecene contents, Al-Jazeerah newspaper reported yesterday.
