Function to honor traffic personnel

JEDDAH, 22 April  — Prince Muhammad ibn Naif, assistant minister of interior for security affairs, will attend a function at Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry today to honor leading participants in the national campaign for security and traffic awareness for the year 2000-2001, said Col. Amin Abdul Hamed Saeed, head of the central information committee at the Public Security Department. He said a new nationwide campaign to be launched this year with a new motto will be outlined at the function. Col. Saeed noted that last year’s campaign was a great success as it brought down accident deaths by 9 percent and injuries by 7 percent.
