Co-op seminar slated for OFWs

The OFW Co-operative Council (OFWCC)-Jeddah has scheduled a Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) for OFW-members of the Cebuano-speaking Organisation in Saudi Arabia (CSOSA) on Thursday evening (6 p.m. to midnight), April 26 at the Tropicana Restaurant. Non-members of the above organisation may attend by registering with Fred Castolome (6677769) or Dawood Engay (6393041).


The seminar is a pre-requisite for membership in a co-operative as required by the Co-operative Development Authority (CDA), which has accredited the OFWCC for the promotion, organisation, support and audit of co-operatives in the western region in the Kingdom.


CSOSA President Jimmy Rosello will welcome participants at the opening program, and is expected to be attended by Consul General Kadatuan P. Usop, Labor Attache Abraham Malli and OWWA Welfare Officer Mustapha Glang. PMES Committee Chairman Grece Esguerra will give the closing remarks. Lectures consist of Jibreel de Vera (Council chairman), Dawood Engay (vice chairman), Mohammed Isa de Jesus, Fred Castolome, Rudy Carillo, Jimmy Leonida, Willie Ansis, and Ernie Geslani.


Other seminars conducted by the Council are K-2000 Livelihood, Computer Literacy, AquaCulture and Trainer’s Training courses. (Abdul Hannan Faisal)
