LAHORE, 23 April — Prince Sultan ibn Nasser, chairman of Al-Sultan Group of Companies, Riyadh, and members of his team visited Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center (SKMCH), Lahore, on April 20.
They were received by Imran Khan, chairman, board of governors and the hospital’s management team. The prince and his team were taken around the hospital and were shown the medical facilities and in-patient wards. The prince appreciated the standard of treatment being provided to poor cancer patients especially young children, funded by zakah and donations.
Dr. Yusuf Kamal Mirza, the chief executive officer of the hospital, made a presentation outlining the short-term, medium-term and long-term development plans of the hospital.
Prince Sultan ibn Nasser asked Imran to visit Saudi Arabia during Ramadan and aggressively market SKMCH to attract zakah and donations from the Saudi government and people for the free treatment of poor patients.
The prince offered to be the patron for the hospital in the Kingdom and promised to introduce Imran to members of the royal family and his friends to collect funds for this noble cause, a press release of SKMCH said.
