IMF lauds relations with Kingdom

RIYADH, 11 May — IMF Managing Director Horst Koehler stressed the significance of the Kingdom’s relations with the fund at a meeting with the Minister of Finance and National Economy Ibrahim Al-Assaf at the headquarters of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency here. Koehler also welcomed the Kingdom’s new economic reforms and expressed his support for them. The IMF chief emphasized the need for speed in reform programs as delay caused an increase in costs. Governor of SAMA Hamad Al-Sayari was present at the meeting.
