RIYADH, 14 May — Prince Fahd ibn Abdullah, assistant to the Minister of Defense and Aviation and chairman of the Economic Offset Committee, has said that a two-day seminar starting here today would help to promote technology transfer to the Kingdom.
In a message marking the two-day Bell Labs Technology Seminar, which will be held at the King Faisal Hall, Prince Fahd said Lucent Technologies’ participation in the seminar would help bring the Economic Offset Program to the next level — “that of making its research and development activities by the world-renowned Bell Labs accessible to the Kingdom in a true spirit of technology transfer.”
The seminar is being supported by King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology through its Computer and Electronics Institute. The organizing committee is headed by Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, assistant director, KACST.
