KUALA LUMPUR, 22 May  — Malaysia Airlines started flying to Bombay with its B777 luxury jetliner, recently. The business capital and celluloid entertainment industry nucleus of India, is the airline’s third Indian online destination after Madras and New Delhi. This direct service will be operated four times weekly, departing Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return flight from Bombay to Kuala Lumpur will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight timings also offer convenient connections for long haul passengers traveling between India and Australia, New Zealand, the Orient and Los Angeles. The new addition provides yet another convenient air link for the business community between Malaysia and India, as well as caters to the needs of the huge tourist market potential from Bombay and its surrounding areas to Malaysia, according to the airline which first started its operations to India on July 1, 1974 with three weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Madras using a B707 aircraft. From this modest maiden service, it now offers daily services into Madras and four weekly flights to New Delhi and Bombay respectively.
