KARACHI, 22 May  — A religious party has threatened countrywide agitation if the killers of its leader were not arrested within ten days.

Sunni Tehrik, whose leader Saleem Qadri was among the six people gunned down by unknown assailants in Karachi, on Friday, has served a ten-day ultimatum on the government saying it would launch an agitation if the government failed to apprehend the killers.

The party accused the government of apathy in tracking down the attackers. Qadri, his brother, brother-in-law and security guards were killed by unidentified gunmen when they were on their way to a mosque in Baldia Colony for Friday prayers.

Police have failed to arrest anyone in connection with the  killings.
