TAIF, 1 June — For the second time in less than a week, the Girls’ Education Department here has created chaos and confusion among students appearing for their examinations, Okaz reported yesterday. The examination supervisors for class one students in the Eleventh Secondary School supplied question sheets meant for the afternoon session in the morning by mistake on Wednesday. When the girls received the exam sheets for the subject of Tawhid at the time meant for geography they were confused. Tawhid was scheduled to be held in the second session and the girls did not know what to do.

Looking for a way out of the mistake, the school principal devised a ploy. She ordered the girls to answer both the papers at the same time. They were not allowed to go out until both question papers were answered. The burden was too much for the girls as they began to cry and feel miserable. According to some of the girls, due to the tremendous burden, they were not able to concentrate on their answers. They were also worried about the results.   In a similar error reported from the same secondary school a few days ago, students of class two were forced to answer Hadith and Balagha (rhetoric) exams at the same time with no interval inbetween.  Some parents said an official inquiry should be held on such errors on the part of the school authorities which negatively affected the performance of the students.

On both occasions the school principal Ali-Al-Rajhi was not available for comments, the newspaper reported. On several attempts to speak with the principal, the office director replied that the principal was either in a meeting or busy talking with someone else.
