RIYADH, 7 June — Interior Minister Prince Naif announced yesterday that Saudi security officers had identified the persons who carried out a series of blasts in Riyadh and Alkhobar in the past months.

He said the names of the bombers would be disclosed shortly. “Investigations are still continuing to find out other details as well as to know those who were behind the blasts,” the minister added.

Prince Naif said Garry Dixon, a Briton held in connection with the Riyadh bombings, was found innocent. “Investigations did not prove his involvement in the blasts,” the interior minister said, but added that Dixon would be tried for leaving the country illegally and for his involvement in illegal alcohol trade.
