JEDDAH, 16 June — Four Saudi nationals convicted of drug trafficking, murder and illegal possession of firearms were beheaded in Jeddah yesterday, while three of their accomplices were sentenced to 15 years in prison with public flogging, the Interior Ministry announced.
The four executed in Jeddah were Hamad Al-Dosari, Hadal Al-Subaie, Hazza Al-Subaie and Hamad Al-Harbi. Each of the three jailed gang-members will be administered 50 lashes every six months during the imprisonment.
Members of the gang were arrested three years ago after a shootout with police near Makkah in which a policeman was killed, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Fawaz ibn Saad Al-Otaibi was executed in Riyadh for shooting his father with a pistol at close range, killing him instantly, it said. (SPA)
