JEDDAH, 17 June — Interior Minister Prince Naif, who is chairman of the Saudi Committee for the Support of Al-Quds Intifada, yesterday emphasized the need for strengthening Palestinian resistance to confront the war of extermination launched by the Israelis.

Addressing a meeting of representatives of various governorates, he highlighted the committee’s efforts to boost the Palestinian uprising. Saudi Arabia has so far given more than SR160.7 million to families of Palestinian martyrs and other victims of Israeli atrocities in the occupied territories, he said, adding that it carried out nine relief programs for the Palestinians. The committee distributed 200,000 food packets through various Palestinian charitable and social organizations during the past months.

The meeting reviewed fundraising campaigns in various regions to support the Palestinians. (SPA)
