RIYADH, 10 February — Prince Ahmad ibn Salman, chairman of the Saudi Research & Marketing Group, has appointed Salman Ali Al-Motaiwie as deputy editor in chief of Aalam Alriadah newspaper, according to a company statement yesterday.
"Al-Motaiwie is one of the outstanding media personalities and has made significant contributions to the print and electronic media," the statement said.
Al-Motaiwie has served in various administrative and journalistic capacities in the group, the statement added. His last position was as managing editor of Arriyadiah newspaper.
The Saudi Research & Publishing Company which publishes Aalam Alriadah, is one of the firms in the SRMG. It also publishes a number of other newspapers and magazines including Arab News, Asharq Al-Awsat, Eqtisadiah, Urdu News, Al-Majalla and Sayidaty.
