Japan offering scholarships

RIYADH, 23 June — Japan is offering scholarships to four Saudi students to pursue postgraduate courses next academic year. Only Saudis below 35 years as of April 1, 2002, and with a university degree are eligible to apply, said Junya Matsuura, cultural attache at the Japanese Embassy,  in a press statement. He said those interested may collect prescribed application forms from the Japanese Embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate General in Jeddah. The last date for submitting application is Wednesday, June 27. A total of 30 Saudi students have benefited from this scholarship program since its launch in 1980. (MGAK)
