Papers warned on education ads

RIYADH, 24 June — The Ministry of Higher Education has warned local newspapers against carrying advertisements of universities and educational institutions not included in a list approved by the ministry. The move was aimed at avoiding confusion among students who wish to pursue their studies at foreign institutions. Meanwhile, a ministry committee that verifies degrees of foreign universities approved 327 certificates and rejected 55, Al-Watan newspaper reported yesterday. (AN)
