Arafat Day on March 4

RIYADH, 26 February — The standing at Arafat, the climax of the annual pilgrimage, will be on Sunday (March 4), the Supreme Judiciary Council announced yesterday. The standing at Arafat, some 15 km east of Makkah, is held on the 9th of Dul Hijjah, the second day of Haj, which starts March 3. The Council said the new Hijri month of Dul Hijjah started on Saturday (Feb. 24) and Eid Al-Adha would be celebrated on Monday. (SPA)
