More firms merge into Utility Company

JUBAIL, 27 February — Seven more companies have joined among the founding companies of the Water and Electricity Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu. The first board of directors of the new company will be elected at a meeting of the founding members here on March 13. The company with SR2.5 billion capitalization will undertake the construction, commissioning, maintenance and expansion of utility infrastructure in the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu. The company will implement projects for sea water cooling systems, water desalination, industrial and ordinary sewage treatment and power generation. (AN)
