JEDDAH, 1 March — Some 100 Somali youths benefited from a training camp organized recently in Mogadishu by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth. The youths, all secondary school students, attended a nine-day long camp featuring dawa, education, social, cultural and sports activities. Dr. Abdul Wahab Noor Wali, WAMY assistant secretary-general, said the camp aimed at enabling the youths to develop their talents, earn new skills and train them on conducting collective social work. The course was part of a wider program to improve the school system in the war-ravaged country and help the Somali youths integrate into the society. (AWB)
