Three killed, nine injured in road accident

JEDDAH, 6 July  — Three members of a family were killed and nine others were seriously injured when a speeding car heading toward Makkah overturned following a tire burst on a coastal road in Qunfuda recently. The police attributed the accident to speeding and not taking safety precautions such as the fastening of the seat belt.  According to a recent study by the Umm Al-Qura University, 85 percent of road accidents were caused by drivers.
