17,000 embraced Islam in 10 years

RIYADH, 9 July  — Over 17,000 persons have embraced Islam in Riyadh during the past ten years, according to a report released by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. It said 9,983 of the converts were men and 6,566 women. They included 9,462 Filipinos, 3,744 Sri Lankans, 2,317 Indians and various other nationalities. (KUNA)
