JEDDAH, 17 July — The 414-room Jeddah Hilton, which was opened by Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed, recently has already become a landmark along the picturesque Corniche. “We opened the hotel during the ongoing Jeddah 22 summer festival and offer special rates as part of Hilton’s GCC-wide ‘summer sensations’ promotion,” its General Manager Hagop Doghramadjian stated. “This is the first time that Hilton has created a regional promotion exclusively for GCC residents and we’re glad to be involved with a summer promotion, together with Makkah and Madinah Hiltons,” he added. The deluxe property, managed by Hilton International in Saudi Arabia, offers sea-views and some of the largest banquet and conferencing facilities with capacities for up to 2,500 people. The hotel, which claims to have already established 70 percent occupancy, has six restaurants, business center with 12 meeting rooms, shopping arcade and Internet access in every room. (AN)
