Alkhaleej wins Jeddah port contract

JEDDAH, 2 August — Alkhaleej Company has won the contract to manage the northern container station of Jeddah Islamic Port. The contract involving an investment of SR500 million is for a period of 20 years. In a press statement, Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Ahmad, chairman of the company, said the project would boost container movement, making JIP one of the largest shipping centers in the region.
