Flooding prevention discussed

JEDDAH, 26 August — The Supreme Haj Committee met here yesterday under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Prince Naif and discussed the measures to be taken to protect pilgrims from the dangers of flooding in the holy sites of Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa. More than two million pilgrims converge on the area during the peak days of the Haj. “The meeting discussed the biological, structural and geographical condition of the holy sites and the dangers of flooding in the area,” a press statement said.
