ABHA, 31 August — Police in the southern Asir region have arrested several members of a gang, including Saudis and expatriates, allegedly involved in pickpocketing visitors of the Central Asir Hospital. Hamid Al-Ahmary, one of the gang’s victims, said that they carried out thefts mainly at the entrance of the intensive care unit. He said a member of the gang stole his wallet with SR7,260 when he came to the hospital to visit a patient at the ICU. He quickly complained to security at the hospital. Ahmary, a retired police officer, later kept a look out of this gang. It was not long before he caught a gang member red-handed.
