RIYADH, 2 October - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd has pledged $10 million in humanitarian aid to help Afghan refugees in the event of a US military strike on Afghanistan, the Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday. It said the Saudi assistance, mainly of food, medicines and clothes, is aimed at "easing the suffering of the brother Afghan people and helping the Afghan refugees." Meanwhile, Interior Minister Prince Naif issued orders to extend all possible help to Afghans residing in the Kingdom. The order states that the authorities will help the Afghans who might encounter difficulties in obtaining official travel documents or renewing their iqamas.
