JEDDAH, 3 October — Saudi Arabian Airlines will resume flights to the United States tomorrow after meeting all security requirements demanded by the US Federal Aviation Authority, according to Dr. Khaled ibn Bakr, Saudia’s director general.
He added that the procedures were related to registering passengers, the supervision of boarding, the inspection of baggage, the checking of cargo, letters and parcels, and the supervision of all aircraft facilities and equipment. “These procedures will be carried out in coordination with the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority and airport security,” he added.
FAA insists that airlines flying to US destinations must check the names of passengers to make sure they conform with those in their passports.
