Scholar warns against superstition

RIYADH, 23 October — A leading religious scholar, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Umar, has warned people against being cheated by the falcon feathers being circulated among the superstitious people in this city with claims of miraculous powers. He said it was only an ordinary falcon feather with no power to bring blessings, increase wealth or cure diseases. The ancient Red Indians used to hold such beliefs and wear them.
