MWL seminar on Islam and media

MAKKAH, 4 November — On behalf of Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed inaugurated here yesterday a seminar on "Islam’s image in contemporary media" organized by the Muslim World League. The crown prince’s speech, read out by Prince Abdul Majeed, focused on the universality of the message, Kingdom’s adoption of Islam as its constitution and its duty to defend Islam against unjust and hostile campaigns. The speech also underscored the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of all forms of terrorism based on the teachings of Islam. The speech underlined that the Kingdom’s calls for dialogue, understanding and cooperation among various peoples and civilizations. The crown prince hoped that the Muslim World League will prepare an international program for dialogue, coexistence and understanding among various civilizations. (SPA)
