Mandela arrives on private visit

RIYADH, 6 November — Former South African President Nelson Mandela arrived here yesterday on a private visit at the invitation of Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, the South African Embassy said. "Mr. Mandela arrived this morning. He will stay here until Nov. 11. He is here to rest at the invitation of Crown Prince Abdullah," an embassy spokesman said. On Nov. 12, Mandela will leave for the United States.
