JEDDAH, 27 November — Only eight of the 17 OFWs who took the special licensure test for civil engineers held in Jeddah last month have passed.
A list released by the Professional Regulation Commission in Manila named the successful passers as:
1. Marilou Marquez Aquino
2. Hadji Mamintal Mali Adatu
3. Blasim Membal Kamama
4. Laureano Roluna Ortega
5. Rahib Lumandagan Palti
6. Sandatu Basagan Sabal
7. Ronaldo Esteban Tolentino.
The eighth successful examinee, Benjamin Miraato Usman, was placed in the "deferred" status pending complaince with some registration requirements.
The PRC sent the list to the Jeddah-based Association of Filipino Civil Engineers (AFCE) — an affiliate of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers — which had helped organize the holding of the special exams in the Kingdom.
Prior to the test, the examinees held review classes sponsored by AFCE, association spokesman Gamie P. Mapandi said.
