Black Cobra win four trophies

JEDDAH, 7 December — In 7th JEMAC Karate Tournament held recently at King Khaled National Guard Hospital Compound, Black Cobra Shorin-Ryu International garnered four trophies in the following categories: Brown Belt Kata Competition (Anthony Ferraris - Champion), Black Belt Kata Competition (Mario Mendoza - Champion), Green Belt Light Weight Division Kumite (Manuel Talidano - 1st runner-up) and Black Belt Light Weight Division Kumite (Jimmy Lumbria - 1st runner-up).

Sensei Miranda is the founder of Black Cobra Shorin-Ryu International actively organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. All new and old members are invited to attend the 14th BCSRI anniversary to be held on Dec. 14.

Sensei Miranda and Sensei Sonny Galamgam were promoted to 5th and 3rd Dan Black Belts respectively in OSKA during the Kobudu Seminar held at Ryukyo Kobudo Huzon Shinkoka, Okinawa, Japan. The objective of the seminar was to study the techniques of ancient weapon arts and to update Shorin-Ryu’s Kata and belting promotion.

Kyoshi Jun Caballero, 7th Dan Black Belt, and the chairman of OSKA Middle East and Philippines was promoted to 2nd Dan in Kobudu.
