Saleh in Kingdom for Umrah

JEDDAH, 8 December — Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived in the Kingdom yesterday to perform Umrah. Yemen’s Ambassador in Riyadh Khalid Al-Akwaa said Saleh was expected to hold talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, during his stay in the holy city of Makkah. The talks will focus on current Arab and Islamic issues, notably the latest developments in the Middle East and Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, as well as Afghanistan, Akwaa said.
