JEDDAH, 22 December — Wolves attacked a 70-year-old woman and her daughter-in-law who were sleeping in a tent in the Aran village in Madinah province, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. The family of six had gone out picnicking in the desert. The wolves first attacked the old woman. On hearing her cries for help, her young daughter-in-law came to her aid but the wolves attacked her too. However, male members of the group arrived to their rescue. They used clubs to drive away the wild animals. One of them caught a wolf by neck and strangled it and then the other animals fled. The wounded women are being treated at the King Fahd hospital.
