King condoles Marzouqi’s death

RIYADH, 25 December — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd sent a cable of condolences to Tariq ibn Abdul Rahman Al-Marzouqi and his brothers and other members of the bereaved family over the death of Sheikh Abdul Rahman ibn Hamzah Al-Marzouqi, an adviser at the Royal Court, who passed away yesterday. Sheikh Marzouqi, 75, was a member of the Council of Senior Ulema, the Constituent Council of the Muslim World League, and the Jurisprudence Council of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. King Fahd also sent cables of condolences to Lt. Gen. Asaad Abdul Kareem Al-Fareeh, director of Public Security, on the death of his son, who was killed on Sunday in a road accident on the Jeddah Corniche. Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, and Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, also sent similar messages of condolences to the two bereaved families.
