Debt-ridden man commits suicide

JEDDAH, 31 December — A 30-year-old Saudi committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan-hook in his bedroom in an apartment located at Al-Sharai district in Makkah, Al-Watan newspaper reported yesterday. The man, who was married with several children, owed a large amount of money to some of his friends, who were pressing him for repayment. Police are investigating the case. In Jizan, meanwhile, a mentally deranged man killed himself by jumping into the water tank of his house.
