RIYADH, 14 January — Saudi authorities have approved the setting up of an international prize for research on the traditions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and contemporary issues. The prize, to be based in Madinah, is named after Interior Minister Prince Naif. Prince Saud ibn Naif, deputy chairman of the prize committee, said the prize includes a cash award of SR500,000, a shield and a citation.
