JEDDAH, 25 January — Jinnah House lifted the coveted overall games & sports championship trophy in the just concluded Pakistan International School’s 11th interhouses Annual Sports championship held at the Al-Ittihad Club.
Former captain of Pakistan hockey team and Olympian Manzour-ul-Hasan was the chief guest of the function. Ghazali House won the seniors and Bilal House received the juniors Athletics Championship cups.
The prize distribution ceremony was started by the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Islamiat teacher Syed Mohsimullah Shah. Principal, Wing Commander (retd.) Mohammed Siddique welcomed the chief guest and thanks to the chairman & member of the board of directors for taking personal interest to make this event successful. He congratulated to the winners and appreciated the efforts of the director of Physical Education Mohammed Nisar.
Manzour-ul-Hasan, who is also the PIA’s station manager in Jeddah, expressed his satisfaction and praised the performances of the students. He wished all their successes in future at the national levels too when they back home.
Masood Jawaid, chairman board of directors, announced to arrange a play ground for the school while delivering his speech at the function.
Mohammed Rafiq Anwer and Shahid Mustafa conducted the ceremony.
