American rice still being sold

JEDDAH, 1 February — Several traders in the Kingdom said they were still selling American rice as they have not received any circular issued by the Commerce Ministry regarding whether the rice is or is not banned, Al-Jazeera reported yesterday. However, market sources pointed out that the demand for American rice was not as high now as that for Indian and Pakistani rice.
