ALKHOBAR, 15 February — Saudi Valve Manufacturing (SVM) Company will sponsor the EPCA Knockout Tournament starting from today, according to the Yusuf Bukhari, managing director SVM, himself an sports enthusiast.
Bukhari himself was a good all-rounder and an avid fan of the game wants to see cricket’s prosperity in the Kingdom.
In the Premier Division, eight teams will participate likely — AGE, Alghamdi, Kanoo, SPG, Arab Pak, YATA, DHL and Imran Tigers.
In the 1st division, which is divided into two pools in which 4 teams in each pool.
Pool A: Globe Marine, Rainbow, SVM and Al Hoda.
Pool B: Deccan Blues, Youngsters, Khalifa Algosaibi and Hyderabad Blues.
All the teams will play each other in the pool and top two teams of theeach pool will qualify for the semifinals. In the semifinals the number one team of Pool A will play the second position team of Pool B and the top team of Pool B will play the second position team of Pool A and the winners will play final.
First week’s matches for the 1st division teams Home Pool: A Away Home Pool: B Away, SVM vs. Al Hoda Deccan Blues vs. Youngsters, Globe Marine vs. Rainbow Khalifa AlGosaibi vs Hydeabad Blues.
