Greeting cards with music banned

RIYADH, 17 February — The Interior Ministry has issued orders banning the import of Eid greeting cards featuring music, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. The chambers of commerce and industry in various cities of the Kingdom have conveyed the ministry’s instructions to businessmen in their respective regions. Religious authorities had earlier banned sale of Valentine’s Day cards and had instructed traders to remove all items suggesting the occasion from their shop shelves.
