Saudi-Indian pact in three months

RIYADH, 17 February — Saudi Arabia and India will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) shortly to combat terrorism, organized crime, money laundering and illegal trade in arms and ammunitions including trade in hazardous chemical materials. R.M. Abhiyankar, special secretary at the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed this and a range of other bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Saudi officials during a recent visit to the Kingdom. Speaking to Arab News after talks with his Saudi counterpart, Dr. Ismail Al-Shouri, Abhiyankar underscored the strong relations between the two countries. He said the security pact will be signed within three months.
