Corniche development discussed

JEDDAH, 5 March — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed held a meeting here yesterday with the Jeddah mayor and top municipality officials to discuss the development of the northern Jeddah Corniche. The project will cover a 12-km stretch of the coastal area, beginning from the Jeddah desalination plant to King Abdul Aziz Airport desalination plant. It will include the development of coastal areas, the paving of footpaths, the construction of resting places and sunshades, and the establishment of parks and playgrounds. Work on the first phase of the project started two months ago. (SPA)
