SR30m contract for Makkah plan

MAKKAH, 12 March — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed signed a SR30 million contract with Zuhair Fayez & Associates for a consultancy service to the Makkah Development Authority. Dr. Sami Barhamin, secretary-general of the authority, said the contract includes modernization of the general plan for Makkah and other holy sites and the setting out of an emergency development program. The project also covers the preparation of a strategic plan for the center of Makkah and the holy sites. The company will also collect information to establish a database for the authority. (SPA)
