RIYADH, 29 March — Brilliant ton by Mujahid and fine knock by Jaweed helped their teams Al-Hamra and Saudi Ericsson beat their rivals in the 3rd week matches of the ongoing SHB 20 overs tournament at RCA grounds. Elsewhere, Carrier, SAMBA, Meezan Species, Mehran, PIA Young, Saudia Milk, Young Stars, Friends and Pak Shaheen recorded victories against their opponents.
At RCA-7 ground, Pak-Shaheen’s Abdul Wahab Khan scored a scintillating and record-breaking unbeaten 203 with 13 fours and 20 sixes to guide his team to record score of 314 in stipulated 20 overs against KFSH.
At RCA-6 ground, USCC batting first scored 164 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Naveed scored a fine unbeaten 85 with 8 fours and 5 sixes. In reply, helped by Mujahid’s brilliant century with 11 fours and 4 sixes Al-Hamra romped home in 14.3 over losing 4 wickets.
In another match at RCA-3 ground, Jaweed paved the way for Saudi Ericsson’s hard-fought victory over Kashmir XI. He made solid unbeaten 97 with ten hits to the fence.
At RCA-7 ground, Indo-Pak Suresh’s fine effort with the ball (5 for 28) went in vain as his team lost to Mehran by 75 runs.
