Plan on to set up private university

JEDDAH, 11 April — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed said here yesterday that feasibility studies are under way to set up a private university in Makkah Region. He also said that an action team has been asked to explore the possibility of opening a branch of the Dar Alfaisal University in the region. The study also covered a plan to convert several training institutes to advanced colleges of technology where graduates of higher secondary schools can continue their education. The prince pointed out that the graduates from vocational institutes and technical colleges had no difficulty in securing jobs.
