JEDDAH, 12 April — A new message service is to be launched that would help soccer lovers keep up to date on the World Cup 2002 scores.
The new service called ‘the Green Card’ will allow its users to receive short messages about the match scores in their mobiles every ten minutes.
The message service comes in a prepaid card, said Rashid Aal Sinan, executive manager of Batelco Al Jeraisy Limited Company (Atheer), which is launching the new mobile service on April 15.
The messages include sports news, live reports, match results and the other activities taking place during the event to be held in Japan and South Korea, Sinan said.
The service will be available in five countries, in Bahrain (Bateloc’s), Saudi Arabia (Atheer’s), Kuwait (Quality Net’s), Egypt (Sufi Com’s), and in Jordan (Jordan’s), he added.
