Power Horse dart tilt heats up in semifinal round

RIYADH, 19 April — The semifinal round of the ongoing Power Horse Dart Challenge took off with more exciting highlights at the Cues Recreation Center as the Riyadh dart aficionados clash anew. Teams were divided into two groups where the first top six teams vie in Division A while the remaining seven will prove their prowess in Division B.

In Division A, Ace Darters grabbed two convincing victories from Break Point and Wakaray garnering a total of 25 points to stay on top position in the team standings, 2-0.

Saudi Ericsson also defeated two of their rivals, former champs Spice Boys and Wakaray with 23 points in second slot. The Conquerors also showed firepower by beating veteran Spice Boys in the first game and Break Point in the second session. They shared a 2-0 record with Ace and S. Ericsson but on the third seat at 19 points. Break Point, Spice Boys and Wakaray settled at No. 4, 5 and 6 positions respectively with a 0-2 win-loss card.

Meanwhile in Division B, Wild Bulls, a new selection of darters from Bakhamis Decor proved their competence by overthrowing the Commanders in the first session and Pheonix in the second game enjoying a solo lead at 2-0 record with 18 points. Destroyer and first Flight teams stayed at No. 2 and 3 positions respectively at 1-0 card each with 12 and 10 points. No. 4 and 5 positions are Pheonix and Mitsubish had 1-1 card with 21 and 16 points while the Commanders and STR Taytay occupied the last positions, 6 and 7 with the same 0-2 record finishing 15 and 10 points respectively. Ely Martos of Saudi Ericsson, Philip Agliam of Spice Boys, Jun Permato of STR and Eric Gallares of Wild Bulls were the Ton80 producers of the day. This tourney is organized by the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA), a prime association of dart enthusiasts based in Riyadh and sponsored by Power Horse Energy Drink, the No. 1 energy drink in the Kingdom through the full support of Hermann Ritz, the Country Manager. It is hosted by Cues Recreation Center, the official venue of dart tournaments in Riyadh through the guidance of sports lover, Mohammad Al Subaei, the manager.

Dart enthusiasts are invited to come and witness this prestigious event with more exciting action to see as the semis heats up at the Cues Recreation Center in Batha. Games are played in 01 mode comprising eight singles at 1 point each, three doubles at 2 points each and a team match at 3 points for a total of 17 points. Games start at 1:30 p.m. every Friday.
