JEDDAH, 27 April — The Jeddah High Court is considering a lawsuit filed by a Saudi claiming that a national company had swindled SR800,000 out of him. Abdul Hakeem Al-Kharji, a lawyer representing the Saudi, said his client had given the money to an Egyptian representative of the company for finalizing a real estate deal. The man later fled the country with the money. Al-Kharji said he had lodged a complaint against him at an Egyptian court, which sentenced him to three years’ hard labor in jail. But the verdict has not been implemented yet, he added.
