Shoura OKs consumer rights body

RIYADH, 1 May — The Shoura Council yesterday decided to set up a national committee to protect consumer rights. It also urged the Commerce Ministry to expedite the setting up of a commission for exports promotion. Yesterday’s meeting also decided to reshuffle the consultative body’s 11 subsidiary committees. Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Akkas, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Jaafary and Dr. Muhammad Al-Qunaibet leading the key panels for foreign affairs, financial affairs and economic affairs respectively.
